In Gaza journalist had been banned from reporting on the human rights abuse and murders at the hands of indiscriminate Israeli soldiers. In Iran after the election all media was banned from reporting but pictures of Neda death reached the world. The truth about oppressive governments never stays hidden for long. Repressive governments are warned that regardless if you attack a refugee camps in Gaza or abuse prisoners in Iraq, or silence peaceful protest in streets of Tehran the truth will always reveal itself.

Let’s be clear that I am not educated as well on this topic as I should be. What I do know is that the west did nothing when an illegitimate government took office in Yugoslavia. The reason I put this example up is because I am asking for a course of no action in Iran from the west today.  This is indirect contrast to what many Iranians want. I believe that by taking examples and studying our shared past and humanity we can all be mindful of the course of action a governments and politicians take. I know that I disagree with Chomsky in regards to the war crimes that Milosevic committed.  Not only I would not want to have dinner with him but he did deserve the world court and it was a shame that he killed himself before being convicted of the atrocities in Bosnia and elsewhere in the region.

As Iranians are marking the death of Prophet Mohammad grandson they are protesting by the thousands against the regime.   Per last report at least 4 Iranians have been killed during the latest protests. The following video is of various protests taking place in Iran today December 27th.

The videos demonstrate the will of the people of Iran to stand against this regime and the brutal force that the government has put in place to oppress the voice of the masses. One video shows the Basij attacking President Khatami as he is being removed from the Masjed in Jamaran on Saturday.

Unfortunately Iranians in Iran are blocked from seeing these videos. All foreign media and social networks are currently censored in Iran.  Today is also the anniversary of the Israeli attack on Gaza. The tactics of banning foreign media is taken directly from the Israeli, Palestinian conflict in Gaza a year ago. Religious extremist and power hungry tyrants use the same tools to oppress the voice of the masses. Regardless if it is an Islamic Republic or a Jewish state.
